FAQ

What types of organizations can send me information if I opt in to Student Search?

After opting in to Student Search, you may start receiving information that helps you learn about scholarship opportunities and start conversations with colleges. The organizations that reach out to you are first approved by the College Board and must meet strict eligibility requirements.

There are only three types of organizations that are eligible to participate in Student Search Service:

  • Accredited colleges or universities that offer 2-year, 4-year, or graduate degree programs
  • Non-profit scholarship programs
  • Other non-profit educational organizations that are committed to access and equity for all students.

All participating non-profits must hold 501(c)3 status or be sponsored by a government entity.
