A. Phillip Randolph Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to minority undergraduates from Illinois who are preparing for a career in the transportation industry.

Requirements
  • This program is open to members of underrepresented or minority groups who are residents of Illinois or full-time students at a school in that Illinois.
  • They must want to attend a school in Illinois.
  • Applicants must be enrolled as incoming college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors at an accredited 4year college or university.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • They must be preparing for a career in the transportation industry with a major in fields of STEM, engineering (i.e., civil, construction, electrical, environmental, mechanical), social sciences (i.e., economics, geography, planning, political science), or business administration (i.e., accounting, business management, communications, finance, human resources, information technology, public health).
  • Must be United States Citizens, legal alien with a registration card or permanent residency. Special consideration is given to applicants who have a family connection to the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO).
