Texas American Legion Auxiliary General Scholarship provides financial assistance to descendants of veterans in Texas who plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of veterans who served during specified periods of wartime.

Applicants must be residents of Texas who are attending or planning to attend a postsecondary institution in any state.

Eligibility is not limited to high school seniors; anyone meeting the requirements may apply.

Selection is based on scholarship (25%), character and leadership (25%), initiative and goals (25%), and financial need (25%).

Applications for these scholarships must be submitted through local units of the American Legion Auxiliary in Texas.
