Baptist General Association of Virginia Ministerial Education Scholarship provides financial assistance to Baptist residents of Virginia interested in attending college or seminary in any state to prepare for a career in ministry.

Requirements

This program is open to students enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited college, university, or seminary in any state.

Applicants must have been active members of a cooperating church of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) for at least 1 year.

They must be called and committed to religious service as a local church minister, missionary, chaplain, or denominational servant.

Preference is given to applicants from Virginia Baptist backgrounds and who plan their ministries in and through Virginia Baptist channels.

Students working on an advanced degree beyond the master's level are not eligible.

Selection is based on academic ability, Christian service, community service, vocational clarity, BGAV commitment, and financial need.
