The Chautauqua Fallen Heroes Fund Scholarship supports the educational goals of graduating high school seniors in Chautauqua County, New York, who are family members of firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and other local “uniformed heroes” who have been killed in the line of duty. Students who are planning to pursue higher education in law enforcement (including corrections officers), firefighting, or emergency medical services are eligible to apply. Recipients are chosen for their volunteer service, academic standing, and potential for success in their chosen field.

Requirements
  • Family of firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and other local “uniformed heroes” killed in the line of duty
  • Graduating senior from one of the school districts within Chautauqua County, New York
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree in law enforcement (including corrections officer), firefighting, or emergency medical services
  • Participate in community service
  • Potential for success in the chosen field
