Chicana/Latina Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance for college or graduates school to Latina women in the San Francisco Bay area.

Requirements
  • This program is open to Latina women who have resided for at least 2 years and are currently enrolled at accredited colleges, universities, or community colleges in the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, or Yolo.
  • Community college and undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 college units, be enrolled as fulltime students, and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Graduate students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher for college coursework.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement, commitment to equality and justice for Chicana and Latina women, demonstrated leadership qualities and experience on behalf of the Latinx community, clarity of direction and goals, ability to overcome personal challenges and obstacles, and availability to participate in the sponsor's annual Leadership Institute.
  • Students who received a scholarship from the foundation within the past 4 years are not eligible.
  • Recipients must agree to volunteer at least 10 hours in the following year to support the Chicana/Latina Foundation.
