Coastal Carolina Chapter MOAA Scholarship provides financial assistance to dependents of retired and active military personnel in designated North Carolina counties who are attending or planning to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to dependents of retired military personnel living in Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Jones, or Pamlico counties in North Carolina and dependents of active-duty military personnel permanently assigned to a command within those 5 counties.

Applicants must be 1) graduating high school seniors; 2) students currently enrolled fulltime at a 4-year college or university in any state, or 3) students currently enrolled in the first or second year at a community college and planning to transfer to a 4-year college or university in any state.

Selection is based primarily on allaround excellence in academics and civic and social activities, but financial need may also be considered.
