The Donald Giles Vocational Scholarship program supports residents of the Homer, Petersburg, and Seward communities in Alaska. Applicants should have graduated high school or earned a GED certificate within the past 2 years. Students seeking training, professional certification, or a degree in vocational or trade studies (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrician, refrigeration, IT, heavy equipment or engine tech, culinary, welding, construction tech, office, and biz tech, etc.) are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to applicants who intend to return to work in their home community or Alaska.
