Requirements
  • Eligible are the children, grandchildren, stepchildren, and legally adopted children of current, retired, or deceased members of the union who have been in good standing for at least 1 year or were members for 1 year immediately preceding death.
  • Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or community college as fulltime students.
  • Selection is based on school records, personal qualifications, SAT or ACT scores, responses to questions on contemporary issues, and an essay of 350 to 500 words on an assigned topic.
  • Males and females are considered separately.
