The Endowment for South Asian Students of Indian Descent was initiated by Dr. Jitendra Desai and Dr. Saryu Desai to support South Asian Indian medical students with the costs of medical education. Residents of New Jersey or Pennsylvania who are in their second, third, or fourth year of medical school in Pennsylvania are welcome to apply.

South Asian Indian or a descendant of a South Asian Indian immigrant

Resident of Pennsylvania or New Jersey for at least 12 months prior to registering for medical school

Attending a medical school in Pennsylvania as a fulltime student

Second, third, or fourthyear medical student

U.S. citizen or permanent resident
