Requirements
  • Eligible to apply are members of historically underrepresented ethnic and racial minority groups in the United States and Canada (African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander American) who are undergraduate students interested in summer study as preparation for graduate work in the classics or classical archaeology.
  • Applicants may propose participation in summer programs in Italy, Greece, Egypt, or other classical centers; language training at institutions in the United States, Canada, or Europe; or other relevant courses of study.
  • Selection is based on academic qualifications, including demonstrated ability in fields that prepare a student for further study in classics or archaeology; quality of the proposal; and financial need.
