Geographic and Land Information Society Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) who are working on an undergraduate degree in surveying or geomatics.

Requirements

This program is open to NSPS members who are enrolled full-time at a 2- or 4-year college or university and majoring in an ABET-accredited program in land surveying or geomatics.

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher for at least 1 academic year of coursework.

They must be able to demonstrate an interest in the integration of surveying and geographic information systems (GIS).

Selection is based on that statement (30%), academic record (30%), letters of recommendation (20%), and professional activities (20%); if 2 or more applicants are judged equal based on those criteria, financial need may be considered.
