Ginny Ellington Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) in Kentucky who are interested in attending a college or university in the state to work on a degree in family and consumer sciences education.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Kentucky who 1) are FCCLA members; 2) have made outstanding contributions to FCCLA; and 3) are members of the FCCLA Alumni & Associates Association.

Applicants must be planning to attend a college or university in Kentucky to work on a degree in family and consumer sciences education.

They must be able to demonstrate financial need, leadership in school and community, participation in STAR events, a GPA of 2.7 or higher for 4 years of high school, and qualities of leadership and dependability.

Selection is based on the essay (45%), FCCLA and other activities (25%), and 3 letters of recommendation (30%).
