Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 4-H Scholarship provide financial assistance to 4-H members in Texas who plan to attend college in the state and major in any field.

Requirements

This program is open to graduating seniors at high schools in Texas who have been actively participating in 4-H during the current year and at least 2 of the 3 previous years.

Applicants must be in the top quarter of their class, have minimum scores of 950 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT, and have taken and passed all other standardized tests necessary for graduation and admittance to the college or university of their choice.

They must be U.S. citizens planning to enroll fulltime at a 4-year college or university in Texas and major in any field.

Selection is based on 4H experience and narratives (50%), GPA (5%), SAT/ACT score (23%), financial need (12%), and a personal interview (10%).

Students who have received more than $90,000 in financial aid from other sources are not eligible.
