Requirements

This program is open to residents of Iowa interested in preparing for a career in the automobile industry.

Applicants may enroll at a 2 or 4-year college or university in the state, although most recipients attend an Iowa community college.

Most also enroll in fields of automotive technology (including collision repair and diesel), although the program also accepts applications from students interested in the business aspects of the industry (e.g., accounting, business administration, marketing).

An optional statement of support from a member of the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association (IADA) is recommended but not required.
