The Iwalani Carpenter Sowa Scholarship is awarded to full-time students pursuing a divinity degree. Students intending to become a Protestant Christian minister at churches in Hawai'i are encouraged to apply Those enrolled at an eligible graduate seminary receive special consideration. It is also the policy of the Foundation to give preference to students of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
