The Mabel W. Jacks Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to students in California and Nevada who have belonged to 4-H.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of California and Nevada who are or were (at the time of their high school graduation) enrolled in the 4-H Youth Development Program.

Applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or currentlyenrolled college students not more than 25 years of age majoring in any field.

If they are already in college, they must be enrolled fulltime or half-time.

Consideration will be given first to students who, in the absence of a scholarship, might otherwise be unable to attend a college or university of their choice.

Other students, regardless of their financial ability, may apply if they have shown through their devotion and attention to the principles and objects of the 4H programs that they are worthy of merit.

Selection is based on leadership and citizenship experiences, and how 4H has shaped their future goals and financial needs.
