Requirements

This program is open to residents of Michigan who are interested in preparing for a career in aviation.

Applicants must be planning to engage in 1) initial or advanced private or commercial pilot training; 2) technical training in aviation, aeronautics, or aerospacerelated field; 3) college education in aviation, aeronautics, or aerospace-related field; 4) aviation, aeronautics, or aerospace historical education program; 5) educational programs that directly promote and advance aviation, aeronautics, or aerospace education in Michigan; 6) or participation as a student in research projects directly associated with the advancement of aviation or aerospace.

Selection is based on the relationship of the training or education to the mission, purpose, and program requirements of the sponsor; benefit of successful achievement of the students' training or education goals to aviation, aeronautics, or aerospace in Michigan; ability and feasibility of accomplishing the training or educational goals; and financial need.
