Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Undergraduate/Pre-Graduate Scholarship provides funding to undergraduate and graduate student members of the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) who want to take courses or conduct a thesis or other project in the microwave/radio frequency (RF) area.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students in electrical engineering or a related field who are working on a B.S. degree, M.S. degree, or combined B.S./M.S. program.
  • Applicants must identify a faculty mentor who will supervise their project or thesis work in the microwave/RF area.
  • Project work may be conducted in conjunction with industry, but a faculty mentor must still be identified.
  • The student and faculty must jointly submit a 2page proposal describing how the student plans to pursue course work, a project, and a career in microwaves and RF. Faculty mentors must be IEEE MTT-S members.
  • There are no citizenship requirements.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
