Minnesota Association of Law Libraries Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Minnesota Association of Law Libraries (MALL) who are interested in working on an undergraduate or graduate degree related to law librarianship.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students working on a degree related to law librarianship who have been MALL members for at least 12 months.
  • Examples of eligible degrees include 1) an A.A.S. degree or certificate in library or information science; 2) a bachelor's degree in information science or library science; 3) a master's degree at an ALAaccredited library school; 4) a bachelor's or master's degree in computer technology (e.g., software development, network administration, programming); or 5) a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Applicants must have completed at least 50% of their program and must be enrolled at least halftime.
  • Preference is given to applicants who have demonstrated a strong commitment to law librarianship, including service in a law library, MALL program attendance, active participation on association committees, holding office or other leadership activities, program presentations, teaching activities, and promotion of law librarianship through activities with library associations.
