The Minority Teacher Education Scholarship is available to Florida residents pursuing a teacher education program at any of FFMT's participating universities/colleges. Juniors, seniors, or graduate students who have earned at least an associate degree and are pursuing their first bachelor's degree in the education field are welcome to apply. Recipients are expected to teach one year in a Florida public school for each year they receive the scholarship. State/community college graduates receive special consideration

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Resident of Florida
  • Attending a participating FFMT college or university
  • Enrolled as a college junior, senior, or graduate student who has earned 60 credit hours or an associate degree but has not exceeded 18 credit hours of upperdivision education courses
  • Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree in education and teaching
  • Historically underserved population Preference is given to state/community college graduates
