Mt. Baker Leaders Scholarship provides financial assistance to minority residents of Washington who are working on a vocational degree in a transportation-related field at a college or university in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Washington and who are United States citizens, permanent residents, or valid visa holders.

Must belong to minority group.

Applicants must be high school seniors or postsecondary students at a community or technical college.

Must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher.

They must be working on an associate degree or vocational certificate in the vocational/trade sector within the transportation field.

Selection is based on that essay (20%); GPA (15%); participation in activities related to career goal (10%); 2 letters of recommendation (15%); school and community engagement (15%); and an interview (25%).
