Nora Webb-McKinney Scholarship provides financial assistance to Ohio students who are interested in working on an undergraduate or graduate degree involving service to blind people.

Requirements

This program is open to 1) residents of Ohio who are high school seniors or current undergraduate or graduate students; and 2) undergraduate and graduate students from any state enrolled at colleges and universities in Ohio.

Applicants must be interested in working on or planning to work on a degree in a field related to blindness (e.g., special education, rehabilitation, teaching or counseling, orientation, and mobility, or a concentration on programs serving people who are blind).

They may be blind or sighted.

Financial need is not the sole factor considered in the selection process.

Winners are required to attend the Saturday workshops at the sponsor's annual convention; a stipend for meals and workshops is provided.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
