Northeastern Region Korean War Veteran Descendant Scholarship provides financial assistance to the descendants of the Korean War from any state who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in any field at a school in northeastern states.

Requirements

This program is open to direct descendants of veterans who served in Korea from June 25, 1950, to January 31, 1955.

Applicants may reside in any state, but they must be enrolled as fulltime undergraduate or graduate students at a college or university in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Selection is based on academic achievement, an essay, extracurricular activities, and recommendations.
