Requirements

This program is open to students graduating from public high schools in northern Virginia where they have served as an athletic player, manager, trainer, or cheerleader.

The program includes scholarships reserved for 3 special categories of applicants: 1) students who are physically challenged; 2) students planning a career in elementary education; and 3) letter winners for 2 years in baseball or softball.

Selection is based on academic achievement; participation in athletics, leadership, and service to school and community; recommendations; and financial need.
