Redding Rodeo Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to high school seniors in Shasta County, California, especially those who have been involved in specified activities.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Shasta County and planning to enroll at a college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit information for an initial screening in which they receive credit for any of the following: 1) child of a member of the Redding Rodeo Association or member of any affiliate group; 2) active participation in FFA; 3) active participation in California High School Rodeo Association, District 1; 4) active participation in 4H; 5) active participation in California State Horsemen's Association; or 6) achievement of 3.5 GPA or higher.
  • Based on their scores in that initial screening, finalists are invited to an interview in which they are asked about their plans for college, degree major, community service, formal and extracurricular school activities, clubs and other organizations to which they belong, and financial need.
  • The winner is selected on the basis of that interview.
