RST/Sicangu Lakota Scholarship provides financial assistance for higher education expenses to members of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe who are interested in attending college.

Requirements

This program is open to enrolled Rosebud Sioux Tribal members who are entering or continuing as undergraduate students at an accredited 4-year college or university.

Students in a certificate or nondegree programs are not eligible.

Applicants must submit their Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB), letter of acceptance from their college, transcripts, documentation of financial need, and (for firsttime students) their high school or GED diploma.

They must have a GPA of 1.5 or higher.

In the selection process, first priority is given to continuing students, second to reservation students beginning with seniors, third to instate students beginning with seniors, and last to out-of-state students beginning with seniors.

Based on that priority order, awards are made on a firstcome, first-served basis until funding is depleted.
