The SMYAL LGBT Youth Leadership Scholarship provides financial assistance to young leaders of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area who wish to attend college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area who are younger than 24 years of age and self-identify as LGBTQIA+.
  • Applicants must be high school seniors, GED recipients, or high school graduates and enrolled or planning to enroll at a 2 or 4-year college, university, or trade/technical school.
  • They must be able to demonstrate a record of leadership activities within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area LGBTQIA+ community.
