The Gerber Foundation Merit Scholarship offers competitive awards for students graduating from select high schools in Newaygo, Muskegon, or Oceana counties in Michigan. Students who participate in extracurricular activities and are seeking a professional certificate, associate's, or bachelor's degree in the U.S. are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • GPA between 2.00 - 3.70
  • Resident of Muskegon, Newaygo, or Oceana counties, Michigan
  • Students from Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo, and White Cloud high schools or homeschool in Newaygo County, or Holton, Muskegon, Ravenna high schools in Muskegon County, or Hart, Pentwater, Shelby, Walkerville high schools in Oceana County, Michigan
  • High school senior seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree in the U.S.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Participation in community service or extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrate academic achievement and leadership skills Students planning to attend one of the federal military or maritime academies and foreign exchange students are not eligible to apply.
