The Thomas D. and Lorraine Smith Ott Wind Scholarship is open to students at the University of Southern Mississippi. Members of the orchestra who play wind instruments are encouraged to apply. If there are no eligible wind-instrument recipients, the scholarship can be offered to an individual in the orchestra who meets the GPA requirements. If there are no eligible recipients in the orchestra, or the orchestra disbands for any reason, the scholarship will be awarded to a student in the School of Music who meets the GPA requirements.
