Virginia Farm Bureau Ambassador recognizes and rewards, with scholarships for college, members of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation (VFBF) who are selected to serve as Ambassador for agriculture and the organization.

Requirements

This program is open to VFBF members who are between 18 and 26 years of age.

Applicants must be interested in serving for a year as the Ambassador for the organization, during which time they will follow a schedule of appearances and speaking engagements to make public presentations regarding the importance of agriculture and the role of the VFBF. They apply first in their county, and then county winners attend the VFBF Women's Conference where they submit an essay on the importance of the Farm Bureau, are interviewed, and make a 2 to 3-minute platform presentation in which they develop, present, and defend an agriculture-related activity platform or project they will carry out during their tenure if chosen.

Selection is based on the interview (50%), the Farm Bureau essay (25%), and the content and delivery of the platform presentation (25%).
