Walter L. Mitchell Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to the children of members of the International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC).

Requirements

This program is open to children, stepchildren, and adopted children of union members who are entering college in the following fall or who have completed less than half a year of college.

The qualifying parent must have been a member in good standing for at least 1 year, or have died within the past year, or be on sick leave or layoff and in good standing at the beginning of that sick leave or layoff.

Selection is based on high school grades, school evaluations and recommendations, and college entrance tests.
