The WNC Regional Scholarships recognize graduating seniors of Western North Carolina high schools who have demonstrated academic achievement. Students who participated in extracurricular activities and are seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Resident within the 18 counties of Western North Carolina

Graduating senior of a western North Carolina public high school, North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, the UNC School of the Arts, or a registered home school in the area

Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree

Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, leadership, or work

Exhibit strong moral character and academic achievement

Demonstrate financial need
