Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors in Maine who have a disability identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Maine Special Education Regulations Chapter 101.

Applicants must be planning to enroll at a postsecondary institution in any state.

They must be able to demonstrate exceptional achievement in 1 or more of the following areas: academics, extracurricular and cocurricular activities, leadership, volunteerism, work ethic, and ability to deal with adversity.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
