Brawerman Fellowship Scholarship provides financial assistance to Jewish high school students in Los Angeles County who perform community service abroad during the summer breaks and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to Jewish high school seniors who have been residents of Los Angeles County for at least 3 years.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime at a 4-year college or university in any state.
  • They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • They must be able to participate in the following activities (for which all expenses are paid): a retreat prior to their freshman year, an annual gathering of all current fellows, a Birthright Israel trip during their undergraduate years, and 4 weeks during 2 summers of their undergraduate years at a Jewish community program site (both locally and internationally) performing community service.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement; commitment to leadership, community service, Jewish engagement; and financial need.
