Career Start Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to members of the AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary who are interested in reentering the workforce.

Requirements

This program is open to current members who are interested in expanding, updating, and/or reentering the workforce.

Applicants must have completed at least 1 semester of study at an accredited technical school, business school, college, or university.

They must submit an essay, 200 to 500 words in length, on their past accomplishment, career and educational goals, and objectives for the future.

Selection is based on financial need (45%), academic record (15%), the essay (25%), and 3 letters of reference (15%).
