Hawthorn Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to Wyoming residents who demonstrate special needs and are interested in attending college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Wyoming who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at a college, university, technical institute, or graduate school in any state.
  • Applicants must submit an educational plan that includes the school they plan to attend, the funds that would be required for attendance, the duration and locations of the program, and the degree or certification they hope to obtain; a personal essay on how to complete the proposed course of study would improve their life circumstances and why they believe they would be successful in that endeavor; and documentation of financial need.
  • Special consideration is given to applicants who obtained a GED instead of a high school diploma; applicants who wish to obtain a GED; lowincome adults who are returning to school or starting higher education for the first time; low-income individuals who are the first in their family to attend college; applicants who are trying to overcome obstacles they have faced in their lives (e.g., foster care, homelessness) and are trying to make a fresh start; and returning military.
