The Karen Mashburn Environmental Scholars Program supports undergraduate and graduate students in South Florida and Treasure Coast regions. In addition to the scholarship, the recipient will participate in a 14 week internship with Friends of the Everglades. Students pursuing studies in environmental education and/or science are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Minimum 3.00 GPA

Resident of Broward, Indian River, Martin, MiamiDade, Monroe, Palm Beach, or St. Lucie counties, Florida

Undergraduate or graduate student

Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree

Pursuing studies in environmental education and/or science

Attending school in the U.S.

U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Demonstrated commitment to environmental education and conservation through volunteering, advocacy, or projects

Demonstrate financial need
