Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Civil Engineering Scholarship provides scholarship/loans to civil engineering students at selected postsecondary institutions in Kentucky.

Requirements

This program is open to students entering or enrolled in a civil engineering program at the University of Kentucky, Western Kentucky University, or the University of Louisville; students may also enroll in a pre-engineering program at Kentucky State University, through the Kentucky Community and Technical College system, or at another college or university in Kentucky and transfer to 1 of the 4-year institutions to complete their bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Applicants must be Kentucky residents who have an ACT score of 24 or higher.

They must be interested in working for the Transportation Cabinet during the summer and after graduation.

Selection is based on that essay, academic standing (including ACT score for entering freshmen), and letters of recommendation.
