Requirements

This program is open to residents of Alaska who will be enrolled (for the academic year following the award) in a degree program at an accredited U.S. institution of higher education.

U.S. citizenship or legal resident status is required.

Selection is based on an essay of no more than 550 words that describes the applicant's career, vocational, or academic goals.

Membership in Mensa is not required, and there are no restrictions as to age, race, gender, level of postsecondary education, or financial need.
