Ned Carter Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in New York who have a connection to firefighters affiliated with the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York who plan to prepare for a career in a field related to community service at a school in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors who are firefighters, relatives of firefighters, or Explorers in an affiliated member organization of the association.

Applicants must be planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college or university in any state to prepare for a career in a community service-related field (e.g., fire service, nursing, social work, health-related services, teaching, paramedic).

Financial need is considered in the selection process.
