OAPA Diversity Scholarship provides financial assistance to students from any state who are enrolled in a physician assistant program in Ohio and who embody the principles of diversity.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of any state enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program at a college or university in Ohio.

Applicants must have been members of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants (OAPA) for at least 3 months.

They must embody the principles of diversity by working to sustain a healthcare workforce that provides culturally competent care to all patients, no matter their race, socioeconomic status, marital status, physical and mental ability, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or native language.

Areas of focus may include community health, service to underserved communities, health care disparities, or health literacy.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
