Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Iowa who are dependents of employees of newspapers in the state.

Applicants must be planning to enroll at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university in any state.

They must be preparing for a career in journalism or communications.

Selection is based on academic record, demonstrated talent, and desire to work for an Iowa newspaper; some consideration is also given to financial need.
