The Forest Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to students preparing for a career in forestry at designated universities in California or in graduate or law school.

Requirements
  • This program is open to 1) undergraduates enrolled in the forestry program at California Polytechnic State University (San Luis Obispo), Humboldt State University, or University of California at Berkeley; and 2) graduates of those universities with a degree in forestry currently enrolled in graduate school or law school with an interest in combining their forestry training with communications, legislative policy, or natural resources administration or education.
  • Applicants must submit a narrative that includes their future career goals after graduation; their ideal job; their favorite forestry class; past forestry experience, including past employment and any pertinent extracurricular activities; how those experiences have influenced their future career goals; what directed them into that area of study; where they see the Forestry industry in the future; and the changes or improvements they see that need to be made in the forestry industry in order for it to continue to grow.
