Tom Mooney Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who are children of members of the Ohio Federation of Teachers (OFT) and planning to major in designated fields at a college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to the children of members of OFT, the Ohio affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), who are graduating from public high schools in Ohio.

Children of staff members of OFT or its locals are also eligible.

Applicants must have been accepted at an accredited college or university in any state with plans to major in education, history, labor studies, or political science.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a record of involvement in extracurricular and community service activities.
