Requirements

This program is open to residents of Iowa who are enrolled or planning to enroll at a college, university, or community college in the state that has an accredited highway construction program.

Applicants must be interested in majoring in heavy equipment operation, engineering technician, diesel technology, or other constructionrelated fields with an emphasis on the highway, bridge, municipal, or utility construction.

They must intend to remain in Iowa and seek employment with a member company of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Iowa.

Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities (especially those related to construction), work history, and financial need.
