The Bryon Riesch Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who have a neurological disability or the children of people with such a disability.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students entering or enrolled at a 2- or 4-year college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student.
  • Applicants must have a neurological disability or be the child of a person with such a disability.
  • First priority is given to individuals suffering from a direct spinal cord injury or disease resulting in paralysis such as spinal tumors, strokes, or aneurysms affecting the spinal cord, or spina bifida.
  • Other diseases and disorders that qualify include multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson's, and cerebral palsy.
  • Priority is also given to residents of Wisconsin, but people in all states are eligible.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in high school or college.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
