The Bryon Riesch Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who have a neurological disability or the children of people with such a disability.

Requirements

This program is open to students entering or enrolled at a 2- or 4-year college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student.

Applicants must have a neurological disability or be the child of a person with such a disability.

First priority is given to individuals suffering from a direct spinal cord injury or disease resulting in paralysis such as spinal tumors, strokes, or aneurysms affecting the spinal cord, or spina bifida.

Other diseases and disorders that qualify include multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson's, and cerebral palsy.

Priority is also given to residents of Wisconsin, but people in all states are eligible.

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in high school or college.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
