Dick French Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to American Indians or Alaskan Natives from the Northwest who are interested in working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in an environmentally-related field.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho who are 1) at least one-quarter American Indian or Alaskan Native (or a member of a federally-recognized tribe); 2) planning to be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited 4-year college or university or a full-time student at a 2-year college enrolled in a program leading to an academic degree; 3) planning to major in an environmentally-related discipline (biology, forestry, natural resource management, chemistry, entomology, environmental science, hydrology, or a related discipline); and 4) current members of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).
