Hispanic Public Relations Association Scholarship provides financial assistance to Hispanic undergraduate and graduate students from California who are attending college in southern California and preparing for a career in public relations.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of California who are of at least 25% Hispanic descent and entering the sophomore, junior, or senior year at a 4-year college or university or enrolling as a graduate student in Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, or Ventura counties.

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher cumulatively and 3.0 or higher in their major subject.

They must be majoring in public relations, communications, journalism, advertising, and/or marketing.

Students majoring in other disciplines but planning to work in the public relations industry are also eligible.

Any materials submitted in Spanish must include an English translation.

Recipients are expected to attend the sponsor's Premio Awards dinner in October.
