Hunter Garner Scholarship recognizes and rewards, with college scholarships, high school and college students who submit outstanding videos, billboard designs, or radio spots that focus on safe driving.

Requirements

This competition is open to 2 categories: 1) high school juniors and seniors between 14 and 20 years of age who plan to attend college in the year after graduation; and 2) full-time college and university students between 15 and 25 years of age.

For both categories, students may enter 1 of 3 competitions: video, design, or radio.

For the video competition, applicants must submit a video of exactly 10 seconds or exactly 25 seconds featuring the importance of avoiding distracted driving.

For the design competition, applicants must submit a design intended to be converted into an outdoor billboard featuring the importance of avoiding distracted driving.

For the radio competition, they must submit a radio spot of 20 seconds, also highlighting the importance of avoiding distracted driving.

All entries should target teens and young adult drivers.

Selection is based on ability to capture attention of others, ability to persuade others to alter driving habits, clarity of message, creative expression, and quality of video, design, or radio spot.
